Two UW postdoctoral scholars receive awards from the Association of Academic Radiology
The Association of Academic Radiology (AAR) Education Committee has selected UW Radiology postdoctoral scholars Madhvi Yadav, MBBS, and Peyman Mirghaderi, MD, MPH, as recipients of the 2026 Stanley Baum Outstanding Poster and Exhibit Award at the AAR 74th Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. Five poster awards were given in total.
Dr. Yadav received the award for her outstanding poster titled Sinusoidal Obstruction Syndrome (SOS) in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant: Added Imaging-Based Diagnostic Value. Dr. Mirghaderi's award-winning poster was titled Pregnancy-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders and Tumors.
Dr. Yadav and Dr. Mirghaderi’s work was carefully evaluated and selected based on its excellence across five key criteria: educational value, organization and clarity of focus, pictorial quality, publication potential, and general interest. “Your achievement reflects a remarkable contribution to radiology education and demonstrates both innovation and impact in engaging future generations in the field,” wrote Eric England, MD, AAR Education Committee Chair, and Marta E. Heilbrun, MD, AAR President, about their submissions.
The committee commended the research, highlighting their "dedication and the high standard of scholarship represented in your poster[s]. Your efforts exemplify the mission of advancing education within radiology and inspiring others through meaningful and creative work.”
Congratulations to Drs. Yadav and Mirghaderi!
