Kris Bakke nominated for a UW Distinguished Staff Award

UW Distinguished Staff Award nominee Kris Bakke, senior computer specialist with Information Technology Services in the UW Department of Radiology, was recently honored for her exceptional leadership in driving innovation and collaboration across clinical and technical teams. Most notably, Kris spearheaded the operationalization of MRI safety assessment billing within Epic Radiant - a complex initiative that improved documentation accuracy, streamlined billing workflows and reinforced patient safety protocols.

Kris's creative problem-solving, deep technical expertise and inclusive approach have transformed how the department manages clinical data and supports care delivery. Her work has enhanced efficiency, strengthened cross-team communication, and advanced our mission of excellence in patient care.
