UW Radiology research scientist Debosmita Biswas, MS, and her team received an Honorable Mention award at the recent International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) Breast MRI Workshop for their study on integrating high-resolution advanced diffusion-weighted MRI (DW-MRI) into clinical workflow.

This collaborative effort—led by the Quantitative Breast Imaging Lab with Savannah Partridge, PhD, and Dr. Habib Rahbar, as co-directors, graduate student researcher Wesley Surrento, MS, and with invaluable support from Fred Hutch Cancer Center MRI technologists Kevin Widner and Michael Senff, RT(R)(MR)MRSO, as well as Philips Healthcare clinical scientists Dallas Turley, PhD, and Hans Peeters, PhD,—highlights the potential of DW-MRI as a non-contrast tool for breast cancer care.
