Tushar Kumar, MD, UW Radiology pediatric fellow, was awarded the prestigious "Cum Laude Award" at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2025 Annual Meeting for the educational exhibit, “Mycotic aortic aneurysms: From early signs to rupture – an evolution over time.” This work was completed under the guidance of Dr. Rajat Bhargava, associate professor of abdominal radiology.

Dr. Kumar also awarded a Certificate of Merit Award at RSNA 2025 for the educational exhibit, “Hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor: Chameleon of the liver,” which was completed under the mentorship of Dr. Orpheus Kolokythas, professor of abdominal radiology.

Both these RSNA presentations have been invited for publication in RadioGraphics, one of the best international journals for Radiology.

Dr. Kumar has been invited for two oral presentations at ARRS 2026: “Can we predict clinical outcome in pneumatosis intestinalis based on CT imaging findings?” and “Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome: Is expiratory phase scan enough for diagnosis?" - both under the guidance of Dr. Minal Jagtiani, assistant professor of abdominal radiology.
