Biography
Dr. Kogut is the Program Director of the Interventional Radiology Residency. He oversees both the integrated and independent IR training pathways, guiding curriculum design, clinical rotation structure, and recruitment with a strong focus on educational equity, resident well-being, and high-performance training across the UW Medicine system. Under his leadership, the program has expanded in size and scope, offering comprehensive procedural training across multiple affiliated hospital sites.
He currently serves as the Site Director for IR at Harborview Medical Center, where he leads service-line development and clinical operations in a high-acuity, safety-net environment. Previously, Dr. Kogut served as the Site Director for VA Puget Sound, where he expanded IR services for veterans over 15 years.
His clinical interests include peripheral vascular interventions, emergent embolization for trauma, dialysis access management, and genicular artery embolization.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kogut is a triathlete and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys exploring backcountry trails.
