Biography

Fatemeh Sanaz Behnia, MD is a board-certified radiologist at UW Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Washington.

Dr. Behnia finds great fulfillment in her work as both a radiologist and nuclear medicine physician. She is particularly passionate about contributing to the diagnosis, follow-up, and management of oncology patients. She believes the therapeutic dimension of nuclear medicine—especially with the emergence of novel radiopharmaceutical treatment options—represents one of the most exciting and rapidly advancing areas in cancer care.

Dr. Behnia earned her M.D. from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She is board certified by both the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Her clinical interests include general nuclear medicine and oncologic imaging. She is deeply committed to education and mentorship and has received three University of Washington teaching awards in recognition of her dedication to medical student education.
