Biography
Dr. Alex Chau serves as an Associate Professor at the Interventional Radiology Section at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) and Pediatric Interventional Radiology Section at Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH). He received a dual B.S. in Biochemistry and Microbiology from California State University, Los Angeles, an M.S. in Applied Physiology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and an MD from Chicago Medical School. He completed his internal medicine internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and his diagnostic radiology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He subsequently completed fellowships in Adult Interventional Radiology at New York University and Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital.
His clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of vascular anomalies, pediatric and adult vascular interventions, and global outreach, as well as medical education and mentorship. He is dual board-certified in diagnostic and interventional radiology and cares for patients primarily at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Outside of the hospital, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and taking strolls with his family, and doggies Pikachu and Moomoo.
