Biography
Dr. Rutman is an attending physician and teaching faculty with expertise in Neuroradiology and Neuroanatomy. His clinical and research interests are in vascular neuroimaging, advanced MRI, and imaging utilization. Since 2016, Dr. Rutman has taught neuroanatomy and neuroradiology to first and second year medical students at the UW School of Medicine, and helped to develop the School of Medicine’s novel anatomy curriculum with integrated radiology lessons and imaging aids.
Dr. Rutman earned his bachelor’s degree in neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley and his MD from the University of California, San Diego. He completed an internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, and both a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Neuroradiology from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Rutman is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology, with a certificate of additional qualification in Neuroradiology.
