Biography
Dr. William T.C. Yuh is professor emeritus in radiology, and currently serves as a member of the University Faculty Senate and as a member of the Senate Faculty Council for Benefit and Retirement (FCBR).
He is a former vice chair of Radiology and former chief of Neuroradiology at UW Radiology. He is the Ellsworth C. and Nancy D. Alvord Endowed Chair in neuro-oncology. He received an MD from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University. He is triple medical board certified in radiology, nuclear medicine and neuroradiology.
Dr. Yuh is known world-wide as renowned neuroradiologist and clinical scientist who has published numerous leading scientific papers, pioneered many diagnostic imaging methodologies, been frequently invited speaker at scientific meetings and taught/mentored many prominent physicians and scientists. He has been recognized as the prestigious Fellows for the American Association of the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the International Society of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Medicine (ISMRM) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). He was awarded as one of the “Foreign Honorary Members” of The Japanese Society of Neuroradiology (JSNR).
Prior to the UW, Dr. Yuh was the Bob G. Eaton radiology chairman at University of Oklahoma and vice chair of the Radiology Department at Ohio State University.
