Our research mission is to enable excellence in abdominal imaging through innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. Multiple areas of research among our faculty converge to improve patient care, well-being, imaging precision and workflow.
Areas of active research performed in our section include:
- Artificial intelligence and big data to optimize image analysis
- Development and validation of imaging biomarkers for staging and assessment of response to treatment of various cancers, including prostate, rectum, liver cancers and neuroendocrine tumors.
- Optimization of CT and MR imaging protocols to improve patient comfort and efficiency
- Development and validation of new noninvasive ultrasound biomarkers
