Biography
Dr. Medverd is a UW associate professor of radiology. His areas of expertise include emergency & trauma radiology, bone & joint imaging, as well as body imaging (disorders of the chest, abdomen and pelvis); utilizing multimodality imaging tools, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and conventional X-ray, to provide diagnostic answers for patients. He also has expertise in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures, which is an active part of his practice.
Dr. Medverd is active in health-care policy and practice issues at the state and national level. He is a past-president of the Washington State Radiological Society and currently serves on its Executive Committee. He also serves as a state councilor to the American College of Radiology.
