Biography
- Kalpana is a native of India who came to the USA in 1989 to pursue postgraduate education. Kalpana lives in Seattle and likes to read, travel, hike, ride her bike and loves pandas. For wellness, she wears a Fitbit and makes sure she walks at least 10,000 steps every day!

Research Interests
Kalpana has been fortunate to have many opportunities conducting research in the areas of computed tomography, interventional radiology, mammography, pediatrics and computed radiography. Her personal interest is in computed tomography and her research mainly involves looking at radiation dose and image quality issues. She has been fortunate to work with several radiologists, radiology, surgery, urology residents/fellows and other physicists’ colleagues and has successfully published. She has tried to do practical research and answer questions that are frequently asked in practice and useful in the clinic.
