Dr. Minal Jagtiani publishes peer review publications and announces upcoming presentations

Minal Jagtiani, MBBS, MRCS, FRCR, MD, assistant professor of radiology in abdominal imaging, is the first author of an original research manuscript titled, “Can CT esophagogram replace fluoroscopic assessment of suspected esophageal leaks after hours without compromising patient safety? Our six-year multicenter experience.” The manuscript was published in Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology, and fellow UW research co-authors include Puneet Bhargava, MD; Rajat Bhargava, MD; Christopher Mejias, MD; and Charles Watt, MS, (Statistics). 

Dr. Jagtiani also authored a solo publication in Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology titled, “From oesophagus to esophagus: Radiology careers in the UK and US from the eyes of an Indian medic.” 

Dr. Jagtiani will present at the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) Annual Meeting in April 2026. Topics will include: 

  1. Oral Presentation OR1292 - Can CT esophagogram replace fluoroscopic assessment of suspected esophageal leaks out of hours? (Abdominal Imaging) 
  2. Oral Presentation OR1294 - Accuracy of abdominopelvic CT in the diagnosis of active colitis: Can we save scope time? (Abdominal Imaging) 
  3. Oral Presentation OR1782 - Evaluating GPT-4o on CT torso discrepancy identification between preliminary and final reports (A collaboration between biomedical informatics and abdominal radiology)
